This Privacy Policy covers the Jijaee (Jijaee Maha Police Bharti Prep) Android application and the website jijaee.in (together, the "Service"), operated as a private exam-preparation platform for Maharashtra Police recruitment aspirants.

📋 2. Data We Collect

We collect only what is needed to run the Service. We do not collect contacts, call logs, location, SMS, or microphone data.
🎯 3. How We Use Your Data
- ✓ Authenticate and maintain your account securely.
- ✓ Show district-level cutoff comparisons and bharti (recruitment) alerts relevant to your district.
- ✓ Display leaderboards — only your chosen display name and avatar are shown publicly; phone/email are never exposed.
- ✓ Sync your practice progress across sessions and provide offline access.
- ✓ Send push notifications for bharti alerts, exam dates, hall tickets, and results — you can disable this any time in Settings.
- ✓ Improve content, fix crashes, and detect abuse (aggregate analytics only).
🔐 4. Storage & Security
- All data is stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL) with row-level security — each user can access only their own records.
- All communication uses HTTPS / TLS encryption.
- Passwords: we use OTP authentication only — no passwords are stored.
- On-device data (Room database, DataStore) is excluded from cloud backups.
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Google Play Billing — we only receive the purchase token.

📝 Access & Correction
Edit your name, district, gender and avatar directly in the app at any time.
🗑️ Deletion
Delete your account and all associated data — see Section 6 below.
🔕 Consent Withdrawal
Stop using the Service and request deletion at any time. Withdrawal does not affect lawfulness of earlier processing.
📣 Grievance
Email support@jijaee.in with subject "Grievance" — acknowledged within 72 hours, resolved within 7 working days.
🚫 Opt-out of Alerts
Turn off push notifications any time: App → Settings → Bharti Alerts toggle, or Android notification settings.
📤 Data Portability
Email us to request an export of your study data in JSON format.
🗑️ 6. Account & Data Deletion
You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. Deletion is permanent and irreversible.
📱 Method 1 — In the App (Instant)
- Open the Jijaee app
- Go to Settings (bottom nav)
- Scroll to the bottom → tap "Delete Account & Data"
- Confirm in the dialog
Your account, profile, quiz history, leaderboard entries, ground logs, referral data, and all personal information are permanently erased within seconds.
🌐 Method 2 — Web Request (if you can't access the app)
Send an email from your registered phone/email to:

Note: Google Play subscription billing is managed by Google — cancelling your subscription is separate and done through Google Play. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active subscription; please cancel via Google Play → Subscriptions first.

The Service is intended for exam aspirants aged 17 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child's data has been submitted, please contact us at support@jijaee.in for immediate removal.

No other third parties receive your personal data. We do not use Facebook SDK, Google Analytics, or any advertising networks.
📅 9. Changes to This Policy
We will post any material changes here and update the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes we will also notify users via an in-app banner. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
